Healthix, a public health information exchange (HIE) that enables the sharing of data from 16 million patients in the New York City metropolitan area and Long Island, is now connected with two private HIEs serving those population areas.
The integration means that clinical data generated by Northwell and Mount Sinai is available in real time to every other organization in the Healthix network, and vice versa, without requiring the use of multiple interfaces, Healthix said.
