Vendor Partners
Choosing an Electronic Health Record and its associated equipment and infrastructure can be a time consuming task due to the number of vendors out there and the complexity of the products. To help its participants, the Regional Extension Centers has three types of vendor partners:
Preferred EHR Partners
This is our highest level of partnership with EHR vendors. Preferred EHR Partners passed the criteria to be a Meaningful Use Partner but have gone through an extra layer of rigor which includes preferred pricing and contract terms for REC participants.

Preferred EHR Partners
Preferred vendors include a select group of partner companies that underwent a significant qualification and selection process and have demonstrated a commitment to New York's Health IT mission. In order to be selected, preferred EHR vendors on this list agreed to a higher base base level of functionality and interoperability that will enable practices to achieve Meaningful Use and best participate in the state's new connected healthcare ecosystem. Additionally, for REC participants the vendors have agreed to discounted pricing and standardized terms and conditions to facilitate adoption cost effectively and smoothly.
