Draft HEAL 5 Version 1.0 Requirements Released

NYeC is pleased to announce the release of the initial set of draft requirements (sometimes referred to as Version 1.0) for the RHIOs and CHITAs participating in the HEAL NY Phase 5 Health IT grants program. These documents are the work products emerging from the Statewide Collaboration Process, facilitated by NYeC, through which all the HEAL 5 awardees, together with many other stakeholders have been collaborating in work groups to set common policies and standards.

Below are the constituent documents that together represent the "Version 1.0" package. They are as follows:

• Standardized Consumer Consent Policies White Paper
• SHIN-NY Technical Architecture Overview
• SHIN-NY Information Security Architecture Requirements
• SHIN-NY MMM Web Services Overview
• EHR Requirements Document

These documents have been the subject of a public comment period. They have also been reviewed by the NYeC Policy and Operations Council who have submitted their comments and recommendations to the NYeC Board and NYS Dept of Health.
