Mission:
To develop and implement comprehensive and coordinated interoperable health information technology policies at the state and local levels to drive improvements in health care quality, affordability and outcomes.
Objectives:
- Review and approve a set of common HIT strategies, policies, standards, and services as recommended by the HIT Strategy Group and the SCP Work Groups.
- Develop and make recommendations to the NYS DOH and NYeC on policies, standards, products/services for implementation as Statewide Policy Guidance.
2011 Key Activities:
- Meet regularly to review work group progress and draft policy/standards/product recommendations.
- Prepare recommendations on policies/standards/products to advance HIT adoption for review and approval of NYS DOH and NYeC Board.
- Resolve issues that arise in the work group process.
- Seek public input on key policies and present results to NYS DOH and NYeC Board.
- Prioritize projects and solutions that support IT adoption for implementation.
- Prepare and submit quarterly reports on SCP Work Group progress and outputs for DOH and NYeC Board.
Work Group Meetings will take place on the third Thursday of each month from 9-10am EST.
