    Consumer and Provider Engagement WG

    Mission:

    To develop and support implementation of provider and consumer education and outreach programs/campaigns towards the promotion and utilization of HIT to achieve improved health outcomes. 

     

    Objectives:

    • Develop a strategic communication and education recommendations for statewide implementation that will engage consumers and providers in the broad adoption of HIT towards overall quality care improvement.
    • Develop recommendations for implementation that will include mechanisms for dissemination and evaluation of effort.

     

    Prioritized Projects for 2011:

    • Identify specific communications challenges relating to the adoption and broad use of HIT and create recommendations for how to address them when communicating with consumers and providers. 

    • Identify specific communications best practices for communicating with and engaging consumers and providers in HIT advancement.

     

    Work Group Meetings will take place on the third Wednesday of each month from 4:30-5:30 pm.
