New York Health Information Technology Evaluation Collaborative (HITEC)
Overview
HITEC is an academic collaborative comprised of several research centers that is evaluating the impact of health information technology (health IT) and health information exchange (HIE) in New York State, with a specific focus on projects awarded HEAL-NY grants. HITEC is developing survey tools, outcome measures, frameworks and other research methods for evaluations and analyses of individual projects. HITEC will also conduct cross-project evaluations, which will provide more generalizable results. HITEC will disseminate its studies and analyses on a regional and national basis.
